Hello very body,

hope you are doing well.

I'm writing from the Amesterday airport, where I'm waiting for my conection flight to Copenhagen. As you know I was in Belgium this weekend to played the 2009 Belgian international.

I played Kieran Merrilees from Scotland in the first round.I have to say he is a tough player to play against. he has a good offense and also takes lot of chances. so my tacktick was to make him work hard and wait for my chances. I lost the first set 21:16 . I was playing well but I just let him get away with a few easy points. in the second I picked up a good lead to 11:5 and really put him under pressure.I kept a good focus and beated him 21:14. he came back with all he had at the start of the third set and I was down at 11:8 but I unlike the first set didn't let him to get any easy points and got back to 13:13 and from there it was very close but I felt like I had a good control over the match and won 21:18 in the final set.

In the second round I played Christian Lind Thomsen from Denmark, who is one of top player from Denmark and one of the favourites to win the tournament. We practice together at the IBA so of course we know each other's game very well. I played well but I have to admit he was playing very well and making me work very hard and not giving any thing easy. I lost in 2 sets but even though score was only 21:12 - 21:10 I felt like we had a good match.

I'm pretty happy with my over all performance because it has been a long time since I played very well and WIN  such a close match as my first round against a good player.

It's a bit strenge because I had my knee problem after the world championship and I didn't know what to expect from this tournament and for sure there is lots of posetive thing for me from this tournament and I will take as much as I can to build my confidence for my next tournament , which in in more than 2 weeks time in Czech Republic.

I'm looking forward to have an east training tomorrow and then start my tough training on Monday and keep on working on my game :-)

wish you all the best

Kaveh :-)
